That is about as retro LCD as it gets. My first digital was a Timex
Marathon that had the basic 3 1/2 digit display and cycled through
time/calendar/seconds with one pusher, and a display light with the
other.
Speidel Twist-O-Flex bands were very common back in
1978-1982 time frame when basic LCD watches such as this were appearing
on wrists.
Great idea! Mind you, 'twould have never occurred to me, as..

..I'm not a fan of expansion bracelets. In fact, to say that I hate expansion bracelets wouldn't be too far off the mark.
However, to give them their due, there are certain applications in which they can't be beat. For instance, the one expansion bracelet in my active collection (a jenny-wine Speidel Twist-O-Flex) is on the..

Yes indeed. Actually, I'm a bit surprised that this one doesn't have a seconds display. 'Retro' almost to a fault..

Just
so! As such, a Twist-O-Flex might be the perfect combo for the "retro"
character of this watch. Sounds good on paper, anyway! I just may swap
on the bracelet from the OE today to test this theory out.

It seems pretty close to what I put on this Waltham, but seemingly mine is narrower.
I
wore that Timex Marathon I mentioned yesterday on a black Twist-O-Flex,
and that same strap was also used on the next watch I had. That was a
no-name wrist calculator with a black resin case.
