Well.. the OEM bracelet had rather unusual "Rallye Style" endpieces. I had..
What I thought was a "Eureka Moment" early on, when it looked like I would be able to adapt them to the ricky_us bracelet..
Alas, it quickly turned into an "Ah, Crap!" moment when I realized that, while the center links on both bracelets were 10mm and of compatible gender, the outside dimension of the OEM endlinks was too narrow by 2mm.

I am pretty jazzed with it!
The OEM bracelet was folded links all around and, while it starts out
at 22mm it quickly tapers to 18mm. The ricky_us bracelet is tapered
also, but as it tapers down to 20mm it's a more robust unit all around. Much more so when you factor in the solid links...

Great result! See, that bracelet width looks >>
>> much more appropriate for that case.
Still putting the clasp the proper way up, I see. Keep up the good work.

Re: ..much more appropriate for that case.
Yup! A wider bracelet with "stepped"
endlinks was the whole point of the exercise, of course. I tried it with
a straight 20mm bracelet and it was close, but no cigar. This one may not be perfect.. but 'tis so close I'd hate to live on the difference!

Hah! Yeah, a model of conformity, that's me.
BTW, in case you missed it in the earlier thread..

What I commonly call the "shell" or "clasp shell" is indeed attached at 12 on most of my watches.
"Most", ye'll note, for there are exceptions! Witness this :
Click HERE for larger photo or HERE for supersized photo
..the
strapped is rigged "conventional" there. IOW the buckle, if it had a
buckle, would be @ 12. However, with the addition of the diver's
deployant, this means that the clasp shell ends up @ 6.
And, yeah, I did try to swap the strap around so that it's rigged backwards My Way. However, the strap on this thing is subtly asymmetrical.
I'm not sure this is intentional - it may simply be a tolerance
stack-up issue - but, while it's possible to cram it together the other
way 'round, it just doesn't fit right.
I
find it interesting that, in this case, the strap being rigged
conventionally results in a deployant that operates "backwards".
Or would you personally consider this combination "clasp the proper way up"?

It's a tough call, Ricky. I'm inclined to say that the Casio is clasped "According to Hoyle">>
>>because the part with the holes is attached at 6.

I'll buy that. However, I still maintain that this watch is Proof Positive that..

.."Long side at 6" and "Clasp at 12" can't both be Fundamental Laws Of The Universe.
With this combo, ye simply can't have it both ways!
