Sure, as hinted in Part Two, the Mondaine is no longer wearing the black Combat NATO. Shouldn't be a big surprise to you, Dear Constant Reader, since you just knew..

..I wouldn't be able to long resist trying out the Tungchoy medium-weight mesh bracelet. Wink

So far I couldn't be happier! As much as I love the Staib mesh bracelet, that combo very nearly overwhelmed the Mondaine. The tendency was to say "Great bracelet!" rather than "Great watch!", you know? IMHO a bracelet or strap shouldn't be so prominent as to draw attention away from the watch itself, and that was definitely happening there. The Staib is much better suited to the Balmer Commander, I reckon.

But even aside from being the perfect "weight" for the Mondaine, there's a lot to recommend the Tungchoy bracelet!

Not the least of which is the Grrrrrrrrrrr8! price. Smile Me Inner Scotsman really likes that part. Laughing And, of course, it's a Long, and thus fits my 21.25cm (8-3/8") wrist handily, albeit with not much to spare.

There's another great thing about this style of bracelet, though, one I don't believe I've seen mentioned before: This style of sliding-anchor closure allows for truly infinite adjustment, down to the tiniest fraction of a millimeter you can imagine. WooooHOO! WIS Honeymoon Always a perfect fit!

Cheers!

Good 3 strap shift. Thumbs Up

I dub it the "Mississippi 3-step". One better than a Texas 2-step. laughing

The gray-out Alpha is really a brilliant idea too.

Even thought the links look quite beefy from the side>>>

they look fine enough from the front so they don't overwhelm the watch as you said the other one did. In fact, they ALMOST look like a course-weave fabric. Nice choice!

Gotta add, though, I thought that thing really rocked on the black NATO too.
