Hey ChrisL! You're fallin' down on the job! >>

'cause you never told me these were available in a black-dialed version..
..much less a gold case.
Back side looks the same as yours...
Gold case with white dial also available.
Lucky thing as, to me, a white dial is a must for this watch.

Hey everybody, there is a black dial Mondaine Eco-Matic available! >>

I actually knew that though. I almost went the gold-plate case route
myself to save a couple of dollars, but I decided in the end to stick
to the traditional white dial. Much higher-vis in low-light IMHO.
Did you get those photos from the same Turkish seller I bought from? (begins with an "E")
OK, Stop The Presses! This is my most favorite version of all.

..so I should have realized that black dial versions existed.
Boy, it's hell gettin' old and forgetful.

Then there's this 41mm SS-cased Alarm version.. >>

Don't quite know what to make of this one.. >>

Kind of 'out there', for Mondaine.

I was surprised to find a black-dialed version, as I was under the
impression that a white dial was part of the Swiss RR patent. >>

To me, it's certainly part and parcel of the look. I could live with a gold-cased version.. but it'd
have to be a white dial!
The pics of the gold case versions are indeed from the seller you mention. The GMT version's from a different seller, though.
I was also a bit surprised at the number of sellers offering Mondaine.
Quick quesion - what's the case size on your Mondaine? Some sellers say 35mm, some say 36mm.
The specific model that's tempting me is this one;
40mm SS case, ETA 2836-2 movement.
Gorgeous watch!

And, looky, a 40mm GMT version... >>

I have that one with black dial. White functions better visually. The GMT
hand is almost invisible against the black dial face. (n/t)

Cool! Got any pics handy? :-) There's also a GMT version with a totally
different movment. >>

Uses a 2-hand GMT subdial at 6, instead of the single central GMT hand.
Case is 41mm PVD coated SS, 22mm lugs. Movment is Ronda 6203.B quartz.
Black dial or no, I gotta admit I dig the heck outta that one.
-Ricky
I like it too. Where can I get one? nt.

Do an eBay search on 'Mondaine watch', you'll turn it up. Another I
like... >>

..is this 36mm SS-cased version on Milanese mesh...
..Ronda 763 quartz, sapphire crystal. It's got it goin'
on!
BTW, I'm thinkin' that, for me, a quartz movement would be prefererable to an auto, in this specific watch.
Why, you say? Easy! Accuracy, accuracy, accuracy. The
MobaTime clocks these Mondaines pay homage to are
all about accuracy, so it makes sense to go with the most accurate movement possible. A radio-synched version would be even better!
-Ricky
wow.. i like the GMT! version! (n/t)
