It's my yellow World-Time 24-hour, and the shoot was spurred on by Bock's this morning..
click foto to supersize ..and the fact that I recently put it on a new strap. It came OEM on black leather, which was way too short and was immediately swapped for a bracelet;

After much soul-searching, I came to the conclusion that what was really wanted was a yellow strap. I looked at a bunch, but most rivalled or surpassed the cost of the watch itself. Cheap Scots bastard that I am, this was not a viable option.
Luckily, the came to the rescue, as someone here (and sorry, can't remember who - Speak up if you're guilty! ) made me aware of the inexpensive nylon straps offered by centralwatch.com.
My Inner Scotsman could not resist that 5-pack deal, and he ordered these;
Overall I couldn't be happier with these straps (though the first one what makes a crack about that rainbow jobbie WILL get a virtual knot on their head.. ). Decent quality, comfortable, and plenty long enough for me fat 8-1/4" wrist.
click foto to supersize What say you? I enjoy it..
click foto to supersize ..but let's put it to a . Which do you like best? Bracelet, rubber strap, or the new one;

Couldn't afford to finance it, so I had to pay cash.
Not too tough, as you could barely touch a for what I've got invested in the Miazda.-Ricky

Those whom are not initiates into the Zoom Zoom Club might cry BS!, and call you on that.
Poor, clueless drivers of mundane grocery-getters...
Me, I know exactly what you're sayin', and have NO trouble believin' that you could glue your 3 to the bumper of a Carerra through the twisties.
Mind you, I've never driven a 3. But I am intimately familiar with the RX-7, 626 and Miata. With any of these fine automobiles (but the Miata especially ), the handling is so good that it all comes to the driver. Newbie in a Porshe vs. a real driver in a Mazda = Advantage Mazda every time!

Big, big here!
The 5-pack price came out to $6.38/each including the shipping, and as I mentioned, these straps are comfortable, commodious, and of decent quality. Recommended!

While I'm pleased with the way the Chinese bracelets work on the Raketas and Dolphin, having three such similar watches on identical bracelets just seemed.. well, wrong, somehow. Variety's the spice of life, right? What to do, though? My strap stockpile's gettin' a bit thin, but I realized I did have one candidate. So I whip out the springbar tool, and voilá!:
World-Time on Spidel 'sport' strap with compass Had two of these, actually. They're identical to the strap which I cannibalized for the compass on my Casio Twincept. I found these at a Dollar Store for $2/each! Got the last two they had...
However, there was a bit of a snag. While the strap does fit my wrist, it does so on the first hole. This meant that the sliding strap keeper barely engaged the excess..
..and so was constantly slipping off. Hmmmm. Wonder if the keeper would slide up over the buckle itself? Yep. But barely. It's real tight.. takes an almost superhuman effort to get it over.
But 'tis possible. How to make it easier? Fire up the Dremel and route out the inside of the keeper? Nope, remove enough material to make a difference, and it'd be paper thin. After mulling it over a beer, I came up with this mod:
Spidel 'sport' strap after Ghetto Mod Can you spot the mod? No? OK, I'll 'fess up...
I checked the springbar which attaches the buckle to the stap, and found that I could collapse it a bit more'n a millimeter before it 'bottomed out'. So I got out the jeweler's hammer and (ever so gently! ) bashed in the open side of the buckle 'til the springbar ran out of slack. This gives the buckle a gentle inward taper which, theoretically, should allow the keeper to slide on.
Yep! Success!
Strap keeper shown in 'Ghetto lock' mode The keeper now slides over the buckle quite easily, yet it grabs it tight enough that it's never gonna slip off unintentionally. If you ever encounter this problem, give it a try. A very satisfactory solution, to my mind! Just be sure to bend each side of the buckle inwards by an equal amount, to keep the taper symmetrical. (I didn't pay enough attention to that. Ah well, I do these stupid things so you, dear reader, don't have to. )
The combo doesn't look quite as good to me as I'd expected. I mean, it's OK. But there's something.. can't quite put my finger on it. Ah well, I'm betting the combo will grow on me. We'll see. And, of course, I was not able to rig this strap 'backwards', as is my custom. The compass would be useless if I did so. These are minor quibbles, though, and overall I'm quite pleased with the result.
Thanks for lookin', y'all.
