Be prepared the next time you head for a hike or climb with the Pyle Sports Weathermaster VII watch, which combines an altimeter, barometer, digital compass, and thermometer in a single unit. The altimeter measures your altitude up to 30,065 feet, in addition to recalling the last 24 hours of altitude data. Use the barometer to get a feel for the weather, including the current atmospheric pressure at a resolution of 0.1 mBar and the pressure trend indicators for the last 24 hours. The Weathermaster VII is also equipped with a weather forecasting function that indicates whether it'll be cloudy, cloudy with sun, sunny, or raining. And you can use the compass to determine the best route for your exploration. The compass--which features a bearing reading lock and a backward bearing--offers both digital (1 degree resolution) and graphical (one of 60 points) bearings.
Other features include a running pacer with a range of 30 to 180 bpm, an electroluminescent backlight, and a built-in stopwatch.

Thats one SOB of a watch. Rugged with all the necessary survival features. and it looks real good.
nowhere in the rules does it say not to order a watch. and you coould use it in weeks 2, 3 and especially 4. don't listen to the plastic haters. sometimes plastic is very desirable. I wish I could order it for that price, i'd do it now. |

Plastic haters? As in plural? As far as I know... We have only one bona-fide card-carrying Plastic Hater amongst us.
Indeed you're right.

Absolutely. You're even entitled.. ..to tell us so at every conceivable
opportunity, to the point where you've run it into the ground and turned
it into a sort of horological burlesque routine.
But remember, we're also entitled to razz you about it! |

You, sir, are a Zen Master Of The Obvious Statement. The difference is, your position is intrinsically negative and antagonistic.
Not, as a general rule, the best way to Win Friends and Influence People. |
Caveman001 | 37 | August 09, 2012 09:35AM |
Re: your position is intrinsically negative and antagonistic. And this is supposed to let me feel good? We are joking and you make it a serious thing. Goodbye Rick.

Re: And this is supposed to let me feel good? No, not at all. More like "wake you up".
Joking or not, if you keep on and on and
on slagging off a certain watch (or type of watch) that others find
attractive, then it stops being humorous.
So yeah, that's serious. Not serious as in death or taxes, but serious as in mosquito-buzz annoying.
Toodle-oo mate!

Awww, don't take your ball and go home! He gave you a wink and a beer toast. Don't take things said on watch forums too seriously. I have been on watch forums for
about 17 years now and you must develop thick skin. Ricky is a pussy
cat.

And, let's face it, that was about as gently as one ever could be told "You're acting the Troll".

the fallback is the 33ft WR which is virtually none. What a waste. Watch will not survive getting wet. (n/t) | jackrobinson | 27 | August 09, 2012 08:00AM |
I beg to differ. I have dunked 3 ATM rated watches many times with never a problem. You wouldn't want to dive with them, or even swim.
But you don't have to worry about them shipping water if you're caught in a rain shower or the like. |
Caveman001 | 27 | August 09, 2012 08:22AM |
Re: the fallback is the 33ft WR which is virtually none. I extremely beg to differ..... I have gone swiming with my 3 ATM and No problem, in fact I have showered with them too.
Seiko 5's are 5atm and I have gone in the ocean with them. I think maybe you've bought into some propaganda from some WIS's on this, I once had a heated debate about Seiko's and WR, after spending years on the SCWF it was concluded that Seiko's were under rated on WR. On the other hand some brands are poor at WR like "Cheaper" brands but this has to do with materials and quality control more than price. Timex and Casio make pretty inexpensive watches that are at times superior in WR |

Buy it. Buy it and wear it for a while. Then, we'll do a temporary trade and you can try my and I'll try the Pyle and we'll compare notes.

Ye talked me into it. OK, OK, maybe it was the fact that I had $12.85 in points on my Visa, thus making my shipped price $33.46.
I just may take you up on that!
Went with the Super Saver Shipping (as in free), so estimated delivery isn't until Aug. 15-17. |
