Thats one SOB of a watch. Rugged with all the necessary survival features.
and it looks real good.
nowhere in the rules does it say not to order a watch.
and you coould use it in weeks 2, 3 and especially 4.
don't listen to the plastic haters. sometimes plastic is very desirable.
I wish I could order it for that price, i'd do it now.

Absolutely. You're even entitled..
..to tell us so at every conceivable opportunity, to the point where you've run it into the ground and turned it into a sort of horological burlesque routine. winking smiley

But remember, we're also entitled to razz you about it!

You, sir, are a Zen Master Of The Obvious Statement.
The difference is, your position is intrinsically negative and antagonistic.

Not, as a general rule, the best way to Win Friends and Influence People. winking smiley

And this is supposed to let me feel good? We are joking and you make it a serious thing. Goodbye Rick. thumbs down

No, not at all. More like "wake you up".

Joking or not, if you keep on and on and on slagging off a certain watch (or type of watch) that others find attractive, then it stops being humorous.

So yeah, that's serious. Not serious as in death or taxes, but serious as in mosquito-buzz annoying. thumbs down

Awww, don't take your ball and go home! He gave you a wink and a beer toast.
Don't take things said on watch forums too seriously. I have been on watch forums for about 17 years now and you must develop thick skin. Ricky is a pussy cat.

the fallback is the 33ft WR which is virtually none. What a waste. Watch will not survive getting wet. (n/t) jackrobinson 27 August 09, 2012 08:00AM
I beg to differ. Whistling... I have dunked 3 ATM rated watches many times with never a problem.
You wouldn't want to dive with them, or even swim.

But you don't have to worry about them shipping water if you're caught in a rain shower or the like. Crazy! Loco!

Re: the fallback is the 33ft WR which is virtually none. I extremely beg to differ..... I have gone swiming with my 3 ATM and Seiko 5
No problem, in fact I have showered with them too.
Seiko 5's are 5atm and I have gone in the ocean with them.

I think maybe you've bought into some propaganda from some WIS's on this, I once had a heated debate about Seiko's and WR, after spending years on the SCWF it was concluded that Seiko's were under rated on WR.

On the other hand some brands are poor at WR like "Cheaper" brands but this has to do with materials and quality control more than price.

Timex and Casio make pretty inexpensive watches that are at times superior in WR
DRFP 27 August 09, 2012 01:51PM
Buy it.
Buy it and wear it for a while. Then, we'll do a temporary trade and you can try my Casio watches and I'll try the Pyle and we'll compare notes.
Smaug 29 August 09, 2012 07:39AM
Ye talked me into it. I am blushing
OK, OK, maybe it was the fact that I had $12.85 in points on my Amazon.com Visa, thus making my shipped price $33.46. Laughing Out Loud!

For those of you who missed the post, you can find it HERE.

Here's the box I found inside the box:

My main worry - would the strap be long enough? - proved to be unfounded:

As Bro. dano0 assured me, 'tis an XXL strap, and fits me with one hole to spare. thumbs up

Overall impressions - Good!

The fit and finish are excellent for the price point, and everything works smoothly. Biggest surprise: The bezel rotates! I took it for a fixed bezel. confused smiley

Few other surprises, too. And, yes, some nitpicks. But this watch has so many geegaws that it will take a while to digest them. I am blushing Look for a full Watch review soon. Whistling...

Still most favorable!

More pleasant surprises:

► The functions are quite intuitive, far more so than the average watch with this many complications.

► The LCD is user-adjustable for contrast. thumbs up Why aren't all LCD watch displays made this way? Crazy! Loco!

► The Pacer Complication. Not sure how functional it will be for me, but you could certainly annoy the crap out of folks with it. Rollin' on the floor laughin' me ass off!

► The compass seems astonishingly accurate.

Pyle has some pretty good photos on their web site...

Good to see OEM Catalog Shots with some dust & lint. Now I don't feel so bad about me own photos! Laughing Out Loud!

Kudos to for making the manual easy to find. The dead-tree version is well-done, but an electronic copy is much handier!
