I'm sorely tempted by several Orients - thanks in no small part to your enthusiastic reviews and great photos Smiley - but somehow I've never quite gotten around to taking the plunge. This one, for instance;

Model LGX00002W

Must surely be one of the best values out there. And is drop-dead gorgeous, IMHO! However, since I've already got the Alarm-Chrono category covered several times over (analog, digital and ana-digi), it would be somewhat redundant. Not only that, they're very hard to come by:

Hey there Ricky, it's Bock here

I strolled over your "wished I got that Orient" thread and I got news for ya. I have done some investigating in an Orient database and was able to fetch up the model number! Number is LGX00002W

I did a google also and what I get is directions mostly towards Russian and Hungarian watch shops/blogs, so I reckon it is an Eastern European marketed model. I guess your estimation on the age of it was better than mine btw.  Now if you can get a connection with an international orientated Russian watch shop you should be able to fetch one I believe. Maybe Kevin Jankoski can help ya out also. Hope it helps mate, good luck and see ya!

This one's a great homage to the Daytona, I think..

..capturing much of the spirit of the original without being a slavish copy. If it were a chrono rather than a day-date, I probably would have gone for it by now...

Also love the looks of this one;

Though it generally goes for prices that put it in RMW territory, by my humble standards. Then, too, there's the 'got the Alarm-Chrono covered' aspect, again...

But the one that's been REALLY tough to resist is this one;

What a stunning watch!

And for quite reasonable $$, too. I lean towards the black-dial version, but love the white-dial as well. So much so that it's hard to make up my mind! Smiley

{sigh} So many great watches, only 2 wrists... Smiley Laughing out loud! Rolling on the floor laughing my a.. off! Laughing out loud! Smiley

Ah well, I've wanted this watch for ages. Sort of an Watch below $200! Post about GRAIL watch for me. Kind of amazing that I've held out this long, really. Smiley

Hey Zeb! Do you know the bracelet size, offhand? You reckon it'll fit an 8-1/4" wrist? Or should I start looking for spare links right now? Laughing out loud!

'course, it looks good on a strap, too;

But Post about a watch with titanium case watches almost demand a Post about a watch with titanium case bracelet, IMHO...

The bracelet is slightly loose on my wrist, which is 7.5 or 7.75 inches, and there are two adjustment holes left. >> (views: 12)

It just might fit, and with an extra link I'm sure it would. Let me know when you get it! Smiley
