In Response To: Good from CET . on this gloomy grey Thursday? >>> (Bas)
Shot some new pics this morning whilst drinking my coffee. All I can say is "ARRRRRRRRgh!" This is surely my hardest watch to photograph. I mean, forget composition, I'm just trying for a glare-free, in-focus shot with reasonable color accuracy. Can't even get that.. at least not all in the same pic...
Master Quartz ca. 1972This pic, while way too dark, does do a reasonable job of showing the nice contrast of brushed vs. polished areas on the watch and bracelet. It came on a signed black strap, which is in storage, and I consider this Hadley-Roma bracelet the perfect match for the watch...
Master Quartz ca. 1972Still a bit dark, but at least the beautiful linen texture of the dial is in evidence...
Master Quartz ca. 1972This has the best color accuracy.
Sorry for the crappy photos. But I do love this piece, and couldn't pass up the chance to share. And if you put all three together in your mind's eye, you will get a pretty fair picture of the watch.
Have a great day, y'all!

..though I bought it NOS, it was way, way under the PMW limit!
As for the 'too bad' part, I'm actually glad it's a quartz. Considering the time during which it was manufactured, being a quartz makes it somewhat significant, historically. That's my story, anyway, an' I'm stickin' to it!
Besides, I'm something of a fan of quartz watches (we need a QUARTZ! icon!), and prefer them for everyday knockabout use.
Mind you, I do love mechanicals, be they or .
