The opposite end of the spectrum, this is the closest thing to a that I own..
Click photos to supersize. Mind you, in real terms it wasn't even close. But in it's day (early 70's) I suppose it would've been considered a RMW...
The least worn of all my watches, I tend to reserve it for special occasions...

Usually I turn around a battery change in 5 minutes or less. There is only one exception, really.. except for the . Yup, the Energizer 303 in the Master Quartz bit the dust after 15 months and change.
This battery change took about 45 minutes. Now, that's not because it's as technically challenging as the MP3 Watch. It's not. Nowhere near! No, it's because the Master Quartz is the closest thing in my humble collection to a . Truth be told, I'm a little bit in awe of it.
So I was vewy, vewy careful not to scratch it.
Bear in mind you don't just lever the contact up and slap a new battery in, as with the typical . No, it requires the complete removal of the clip, and some care lest you lose the tiny screw which secures it.
And, of course, I'm including the time it took to shoot movement photos!
Click photos to supersize I know, I know. You're thinking "Why is he worried about scratching that POS?" But that shot is as-is, accumulated wrist-cheese and all. It cleans up MUCH better'n that, trust me!
A close-up;
You'll note that I went with Wal-Mart's finest -made battery. Yeah, yeah, seems like a shame to put such into a . But they only sell the Energizers in 3-packs and, since this is the only watch I've got that uses a 303, I didn't need a 3-pack. We'll see. If it goes a year vs. 15 months for the Energizer, I'll be sold...
Anyway, it's ticking merrily along at present, so I'm ing all over again!
YeeeeeeeeHAW!
