This watch came to me from Lurker Extraordinaire, Mark York of Indiana.

The first three photos were taken the day the watch arrived and, while they are poor attempts at 'catalog shots' I am crying! they should give you an idea..

..of what a great old vintage piece this is, my first Hamilton. Thumbs Up!

Only problem was, even though the strap was obviously of high quality, with a great vintage patina, it was also way too short for my plus-sized wrist. I set out to change this the very next day, and also reshot the photos. This rendered the day one photos kind of.. well,  redundant. But as they're modest improvement over I will include both for illustration.

I'd love to know the date this one was minted! Anyone? Judging by the style it could be 1930's to 1950's. Scary! I suppose I should peek at the movement, for clues.. Wink, wink ...

Just a great Old Soldier! It runs like a champ, and is accurate to +/- 1 min/day. What more could you ask?! WIS honeymoon

Yeah, 'tis a bit small-ish, at 28.5mm X 36mm, but I find this a nice change of pace. Not much clean-up here, other than a cursory wipedown with Windex. Scary! Wink, wink ... Scary! 'tis the Caveman Way! Laughing!

Perhaps the hardest part was comin' up with a strap that even remotely worked. It takes a 16mm, so my choices were limited to nylon, or my one lone leather X-Long 16mm, on which the Seiko 7F39 Moonphase was currently residing. Well, long story short, I've never been all that happy with the Moonphase on leather, so off it came! I am smiling...
