I recieved no less than eight brand-new watches early last week. Smile

I know! Eek! I suck! I am crying

But it's not quite as bad as it might seem, on the surface.

You see..

..all eight watches are identical. Laughing Sure, 'tis the long-awaited Darch Camo Field Watches. WoooHOO! It's a happy day, a new watch arrived

Since I have already reviewed a very similar model, I'll just say that this is pretty much more of the same, except with a camo dial.

And, sure, I bought these expressly for the purpose of reselling them. Wink A camo dial is a pretty safe bet around these here parts, and I have not been disappointed. Indeed, three of 'em are already gone (one was pre-sold) and..

..I highly doubt the rest will last through the end of the month. Laughing With Christmas comin' up, they might as well be Hotcakes. Cool

Cheers!

Cammo dial needs a cammo strap... Jpeg Attachments URL

Too bad you can't find the old NATO Euro-1 pattern on a strap anymore.

This is army ACU pattern, so they do sort of clash. Only $4 each however.

kinda like 8-bit camo there >

I guess "realtree" owns the rights to anything that looks like nature.

The US Army and Marines Corp have been in a "digital" cammo pattern for years now.

I think it had as much to do with recruitment than anything, but the new battle-dress uniforms that all the branches have adopted don't use "natural look" patterns at all. I guess the research indicated that the ideal was to break-up the outlines of the soldier and not so important try to conceal. Basically make it more difficult to judge distance to the target and read their posture.

Photo cammo really is only effective in the environment and season it is specifically designed for, while these digital patterns and colors will provide basic visual defense over a greater variety of terrain, foliage, rural/urban settings, and seasons.
