Re: Here's one especially for you Bro. Hans_NL! And all lovers of Real Poor Man's Watches..
The case width (34MM in an age where many buyers spurn 42MM as small)
and the 30M WR may have been factors working against it. Though, I
agree, compared to some WM offerings, they're a "steal".

Ah, the 'full lume dial' version!
That's probably the nicest version around! The lume ain't bad at all, as you will find out yourself soon enough.
I
got mine from a seller called 'shoppingmorelikeshop', who will even
give you a discount on shipping when you order more than one. Slowly but
surely I bought two of each version, and sold the spares later - at a
generous profit, I might add
Also gave one to my mother, who couldn't read her old, tiny Citizen
anymore (mind you, these are 35mm cases, will fit a woman's wrist quite
nicely)
It's hard to fault the watch. Yes, it's small, but so are
many vintage watches, including my new Chinese Shanghai 'Peace' model.
If your wrist really big, it's probably not the watch for you. The 18mm
nylon strap isn't the best ever, but not really bad either. Easy to
replace if you really have to.
I look forward to your review!

Pleased to hear you say so!
Like Bro. Chris says, I still doubt that it will match a 1st-rate lume dial like his . Or, for that matter..
..me beloved B-Uhr. Time will tell.

Guilty as charged, as me wrist is 21.3 cm or so. Still, I've got no problems at all with a 35 mm watch. Heck, I wear some as small as 30 mm!

It'll get replaced by a NATO G-10 as a matter of course.

I believe Sportsmans Guide used to sell that watch, but not under that name...
I bought one, pretty small size,
decent feature set as you say, but it really didn't impress me, so it's
gone, that was about five years ago.
Their price was something in the $15 range IIRC. -Marc

Sportsman's Guide is still a pretty good place to buy a watch.
Yeah, you can beat their prices if you
really shop around. But usually not by more than 5%, maybe 10% in a few
cases. And they're reliable, with excellent customer. For instance,
they've got the Casio AMW320D for ~ 8 buck less than Wal-Mart.
But, of course, you can get the same watch at amazon.com for a similar savings vs. Sportsman's Guide.
Still,
Sportsman's Guide is OK.. I mean, any time you get it for less than
Wal-Mart's price, you've done pretty good, even if it ain't the absolute lowest price that can be had.

I
just took a quick look there, and they apparently no longer carry it.
Closest thing they've got styling-wise is probably a Timex Expedition at
$45, though they do have a Casio analog that's a match feature-wise at
slightly less than $30. All of this reinforces my opinion that I can
easily re-sell a few of these things at $20 a pop.
Thanks Marc!

We will need a report on the lume-dial.
Knowing what I know about ePMW, I'll wager it doesn't come close to the typical Lorus lume-dial.

Re: We will need a report on the lume-dial.
No, we need a full fledged review à la Ricky Lee! That means slicin',
dicin', disassembling, measuring accuracy, testing the finish with a
sharp tool of some sort, diving into a pool, and heaven knows what he
could come up with!

Was only a matter of time!
My friend, Bruce, is a fan of Darch watches and buys them quite often
for that price. He has a lot of nieces/nephews and friends that he gifts
them to. He speaks very highly of them and has almost convinced me to
get one.
