Got a wee delivery from PMWF Brother Fox, from down Georgia way. I won't reveal all, but one esteemed new resident is..

..this sweet li'l D'Orsay submariner clone. It's pretty faithful to the formula, at 37.5mm w/o crown X 45mm across the lugs, 13mm thick, taking an 18mm strap. No screwdown crown, and the winding action tells me 'tis not an auto. The caseback reads...

Case Swiss Made
Base Metel Bezel and Indicator
Stainless Steel Back

Turns out to be a snapon, but of an unusual design, machined vs. stamped. Peek on the inside and it reads...

Unisales Inc. New York

..inside of the caseback. But here's the REAL surprise!

Hmmmmmmm. Where have I seen that before? I am confused... Ah! Yep, 'tis the same UT29 17-jewel heart which powers the Unichron.

Yippee! WIS honeymoon

As should come as no surprise on a watch of this style, the lume is..

..pretty stout! Thumbs Up! Not particularly long-lasting, it nevertheless glows it's butt off when freshly charged.

Pity about all the 'dial specks' in the photos. I know it makes the watch look trashed, but it really does look better on the wrist;

Eminently wearable! Thumbs Up! It may be an artifact of the crystal. 'tis an acrylic, so I'll giver 'er a good polishing at some point.

Muchas gracias bro Fox! I'll drink to that.

Nifty, Ricky! But the Seiko movement is not exactly the same! Crazy! Loco! (n/t) (Views: 6)

Not identical, but very closely related. Nor are.. (Views: 1)

..the movements in the Unichron and D'Orsay identical. Note the latter is marked UT29C. Only obvious difference to me, though, is that the UT29 in the Unichron is gold-plated, vs. the white finish of the D'Orsay movement.
