..and I selected this tan nylon jobbie as the most likely candidate for the Buren.

The gold-ish tinge of the strap which, alas, is only (barely!) evident in the last photo, was a welcome surprise!

I don't mind admittin' I'm happier'n a slopped hog with the results!

What say YOU, Constant Reader? My other options are a smooth black leather, a croco-patterned black leather, or a a croco-patterned brown leather. All in X-long, naturally. Laughing!

Inscribed on the One Strap

The greatest of the Straps of Power, woven secretly by Sauron in the fires of Orodruin. The Strap not only transported the wearer into the Wraith-world, making him invisible to those in the real world, but also granted virtual immortality and mastery over the nineteen Great Straps, and all other magical Straps woven in Eregion in the middle of the Second Age. After Sauron's defeat at the end of that Age, the Strap was lost; the story of its recovery and ultimate destruction lie at the heart of the two books, "The Mississippi Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Straps".

But you forgot to mention the Deal With Old Scratch. You know, when I went down to The Crossroads at midnight an' Scratch Baby showed me the One True Strap. Wink, wink ... I am smiling... Laughing!

And this is, of course, a very traditionally-styled watch. I am confused...

But these nylon straps are sooooo comfy.. I find 'em irresistible! I am smiling...
