Danville...

Perhaps the most awesome rocket flight I've ever seen was this 22-foot job built by Rich Zarecki. It used four Vulcan K550 motors, and though only 3 fired, it performed perfectly. On liftoff, it left a 6' diameter crater in the cornfield!

The last pic is a scaled-down version of Rich's rocket, which I built. It's size was fixed by the 13mm engines it uses, the smallest generally available. Even so, it's still a good-sized model! I'll never forget the way Rich's eyes lit up when he saw this rocket! ;-) This model presented to the Tripoli president, in commemoration of one of his visits to the Danville launch.
