Scale Altitude

NAR scale competition is broken into Scale, Sport Scale, Peanut Scale, and Scale Altitude. The idea is to build a model based on an actual rocket vehicle. They are all basically workmanship events, which judge the actual measurements of the model vs. the full-size vehicle, and workmanship in an aesthetic sense. Scale is very stringent, demanding meticulous research documents, while Sport Scale is judged more loosely. Peanut Scale places an upper limit on vehicle length; small is good in this event. Scale Altitude is perhaps the most demanding, for not only is fidelity of scale and workmanship judged, but also points are awarded for obtaining the greatest measured altitude.
