1970 Husqvarna 400

The other major force behind the 2-stroke revolution, in addition to CZ and Maico. Huskies started out kind of slow in the northern Illinois area, but by '69 or '70, they were the dirt bike to own. Especially in enduro and cross-country, though they did well in scrambles / motocross, too. While I've yet to own a Husky, many friends did, so I've ridden them a fair bit. Very, very competent bikes, no doubt about it. And, of course, Husqvarna has held on where all the other players in the revolution are pretty much kaput. So who knows, perhaps I'll own a modern Husky one day yet!
