No surprise here..

..just your basic Timex Watch Co. Ironman Triathlon Indiglo which, while having obviously been rode hard and put up wet, still functions perfectly. "Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'" indeed!

The functions are Time (Day/Month/Date), Chonograph (with a split function capable of tracking ninety nine laps , despite the "8 Lap" label below the pusher), Countdown Timer, and Alarm.

The bracelet is pretty cool & quite unusual, a SS folded link affair with rubber inserts. And, wonder of wonders, 'tis even long enough to fit me! Very comfy, too - the rubber inserts give it a totally unique feel. Another keeper, I reckon. I mean, this thing's pretty hard to top as a beater! Beat up enough that there'll be zero worries about it getting dinged, and tough enough to take anything I'm likely to throw at it.. and then some! Thumbs up!

I have two of those watches...

One that I've had since before I was married (it's about 16 or 17 years old), and another I bought off eBay a couple years ago to replace the original, so the original could be retired for posterity. Both have that bracelet and it is very good as you describe.

Cool! Cool 'tis extremely telling that.. Gif Attachments

..you bought the second. Wink And thanks for the response.. I admit I was a bit mystified by the apparent lack of love for this one by me fellow Poor Man's Watch Forumers! Rolling on the floor laughing my a.. off

It really is. Totally unique (and great! Thumbs up!) feel, unlike anything I've ever encountered.

Does yours have the 99-lap split chrono, too? Going out on a limb here, but since it clearly says "8 Lap" below the pusher, I assume that this is an upgrade to the original design. And for anyone who has need of a robust lap timer, surely this is THE chrono to have!

..the Triathlon model 731-A. WIS Honeymoon

Seems a perfect compliment to the G-Shock. Just as tough in it's own way, as this one has certainly proved.

The Basic Black Uncle strap is a new addition, never before seen here in photo form. It originally wore one of these:

But, of course, since I robbed it of links for my Atlantis 100 bracelet, an alternative was required. I'm most happy with this solution! Thumbs up!

Perhaps The Perfect Poor Man's Watch, too. Looked at a certain way, it's hard to see how you could get ANY more Bang For Your Buck. Wink
