..but a quartz diver which is, as far as I can tell, all original. The model number may (or may not) be #795, as that number is the only marking on the caseback. As mentioned earlier, the case appears identical to the ex-TakesALickin Slava Peace Watch, which now resides with Bro. Brad Click (aka Jinxed).

It's a nice size (40mm dia, 42mm across the lugs, 10.5mm thick, and uses 18mm straps) and wears very well. The module is ,
and is unmarked save for "Made In China". Quite nicely finished, too,
somewhat to my surprise. One middlin' unusual thing about the module..

..is that it is loud! And I mean loud!
Most
quartz movements you can barely hear at all, right? Not the case with
this thing! I was sitting in me Man Cave the other day, in the wee sma'
hours when all is quiet, and became aware of a steady "Ting, ting,
ting" sound, coming in exactly 1-second intervals. And yes, 'tis "Ting"
and not "Tick". Obviously a watch.. and it wasn't too hard track down which one. It was sitting more than 4 feet away, yet I could hear it plain as day.
Anyone
else have any experience with this watch and/or movement? I'm wondering
if this is normal... In any case, I'm totally diggin' this one!

Sweet red hands! Any glow to them at all?

You know, I'd not even checked.
Ricky Lee -- November 27, 2009 10:42PM (Views: 21) So I just grabbed the watch and Ye Olde UV Flashlight, ran to the bathroom, and.. Nope. No lume whatsoever on this watch.
Still, not a dealbreaker.
I mean, when the watch is free, "dealbreaker" is pretty much impossible.
