No, Bro. MCV had nothing to do with this one.
In fact it is, appropriately enough, a Christmas present. And, no, I haven't been holdin' out on y'all! It's a belated
Christmas present. Long story, but my daughter Heather is a department
manager at a retail chain, and it's very difficult for her to get time
off at Christmas. So we deferred our gift-giving to MLK Weekend!
Here 'tis...

WooHOO! A Christmas Story is my favorite Holiday Film and, indeed, one of my all-time favorite movies.

All-resin case, 43mm x 43mm x 11mm thick, with 30mm lugs. (!)
The
construction is.. different. The case is center-parting, and the
"caseback" includes the lugs. I have a feeling the watch will have a
finite number of R & R cycles, so no movement photo at this point.
It will need a battery soon enough...

I'd hate to try to find a replacement for those 30mm springbars!

The OEM strap..

..includes some graphics, including the iconic Leg Lamp.

Alas, it's too short for me ankle-sized wrist, hence the 18mm Central Watch single-run nylon.
Mind you the monster 30mm OEM strap came surprisingly close.. another ½ inch (13mm) and I'd have been in business!

But it wears pretty good on the nylon!
Thanks for readin', y'all!

That awesome! Is that the "thing in the stock that tells time"?
Because, you may recall the Red Rider came with that and a compass...

No!
Literally!
That was me other Christmas Present. I hadn't planned on posting it, since it is a bit .
But since you mention it...
No, I haven't sampled it yet.
Hope it don't taste like its synonym!

Lionel Choo Choo watch
The Lionel Train watch was not mine personally, but merely a business proposition.
It was one smokin' hot watch, though!

My question is: does this watch chime "PAN! PAN!"?
Nope, no audio capability whatsoever on the Ralphie Watch.
But it sure looks the bizness, huh?!

Nice!!! Love the "Youlle shoot your eye out kid" hands!!!
I wanted to buy a leg lamp so bad this season, but prices for a full
size one, which would be the only one to get, were way too high!!!!
Cheers and merry belated christmas bro Ricky!!!

The author of the book on which the film is based, Jean Shepherd, is a bona-fide GENIUS!
But his written work is a must! You can't go wrong with any of them, but if I had to recommend just one, it'd have to be "Wanda Hickey's Night of Golden Memories: And Other Disasters" (1971). Side-splitting, laugh-out-loud, pee your pants funny!
