A great upscale change for that watch! Like it, though admittedly....
the gold "toe" would drive me nuts!!!

Re: ..the gold "toe" would drive me nuts!!!
If it were visible whilst wearing the watch, 'twould me too. But as it's not, it bothered me not at all.
However, the strap's still a Fail.
Stay tuned, Version 2.0 will be coming up shortly...

Hi Ricky Well, i'm a little skeptic
Your crocodile strap is very truculent and strike the sweetness of your Omega! Don't try a mesh, instead (IMHO) put a classic smooth and dusky leather strap

Truculent?
Well! Back to the drawing board...

But mesh was one of the Factory Options.
OK, though. "Smooth" leather I could do. "Dusky".. not so sure about that. Let me see what I can conjure up...

To me, it is a bit too fancy for the watch.
Too glossy for a more sporty watch style.
It might work, if you buffed the case to a high gloss, but it might not too.
I think that watch is a great candidate for gray leather or some kind of NATO or RAF strap.

You know, I'm not happy with the high gloss of that strap either.
"Great Minds Think Alike", obviously.

Oh no!
That ain't gonna happen...

I don't know about those "holey" straps...
I don't mind the look but I'd be afraid of strange sunburns.
The
bracelet in the middle of that pic looks a lot like that of my late 90s
early 2000s vintage Seamaster Pro. So that might be an option, but
probably not a cheap one.
The mesh looks good, as does the textured black leather strap.

I'll say this for you mate, you think of all eventualities!
That would never have occurred to me, not in a million years.

I don't have a problem with an aftermarket bracelet. If you look at them side-by-side...
..the ricky_us solid-link is quite similar to the OEM Omega bracelet.
I've
got a couple of these already, and consider the quality to be
top-notch. IMHO it wouldn't be at all out of place on the Chronostop,
and at $12.99 shipped it certainly won't Break The Bank.

Just call them by their proper name, Ricky: Zhuolei®
I think Zhuolei® even produces some watches...

Nah, I'll stick with " ricky_us " if ye don't mind.
Not only do I prefer their eBay Store by a wide margin, but.. well, shoot, I'm just partial to the name itself, OK?

Very good explanations there, knew nothing about the "below the wrist" models!
Nor did I, until I started researching this specific watch.
I mean, I knew that such "sideways" Driver's Watches existed, but didn't know about these models in particular.
FWIW the "below the wrist" Chronostops are highly collectible and much sought-after. I've yet to see one go for less than $1K!
