New watch arrived! at Shamrock Hollow

September 10, 2012 03:47PM

No, not a watch this time!

'tis a strap. winking smiley But sure, it did indeed come from The Land Down Under...

It came with a nice dual-pushbutton butterfly deployant, and I at first took it for a 22. But when I went to test fit it on the Time World Unitas it didn't want to go. WTH? I refused to believe it was a 24.. could it be? I dug out the calipers and, Yep! That vanishingly rare breed, a 23mm strap.

Hmmmm. Now don't I have an ol' watch that has 23mm lugs?

Sure do!

Yeah, it's an XL, and really needs to be an XXL.

And, no, I'm not entirely sure about the yellow stitching, either.

But for the nonce, having an actual sure 'nough 23 mm strap on the watch is such a novelty that all that can be forgiven!

One thing's sure...

VERY cool smiley Ricky! Looks good, even with the yellow stitching; gives it a bit of color!Applause! (n/t) EdH 8 September 10, 2012 04:31PM
Nice one Ricky, the yellow stitching adds just the right amount of colour to an elegant watch. thumbs up (n/t) JY 8 September 10, 2012 04:45PM

I REALLY like that combo. It shows another side of a beautiful watch. (n/t) DJM 7 September 10, 2012 07:49PM

Very nice strap
I don't think the yellow stitching works with that particular watch. I think you need to get out your yellow highlighter and color in the indices, so it matches.

As always, love that Mido.

eye popping smiley Sacrilege! Yikes! Scary!

You're flirtin' with The Full Wet Noodle Treatment, me friend. I'm frowning

But seriously, I have considered breakin' out the blacke Sharpie© and giving those yellow stitches a quick going-over...
