Take this dial;
And paste onto this case..
The one who comes up with the most convincing edit gets 2 straps. Their choice from a pool of about 2 dozen..
The first one to even attempt to change the hour markers and hands to white, seconds hand red, & posts the results gets a single strap.

I've been involved in so many different things over the past year that I haven't been able to devote much time to PMWF. But I have it listed as one of my favorites and would lurk whenever I had the time. Lately, however, I've been stopping by here a lot, and just the other day I ordered a watch from Japan after seeing it here. I will post a picture when I get it (next week, I hope!)--StevenN

Ricky Lee McBroom -- Friday, 12 January 2007, at 4:47 a.m.
One thing I am curious about.. I'm wondering if it might not look better if the Coat-Of-Arms were moved down juust enough to keep the hour marker at 12. That would mean losing the "AUTOMATIC", I guess, but I could live with that...
I love the way you filled the hour markers & hands with "lume" - that's a feature I definitely want to keep!
The red-tipped seconds hand was a surprise.. but a surprise I like! It may turn out that it's not practical, mind. May have to just go with a red-painted seconds hand. Or maybe, just maybe I can find aftermarket hands that will fit this movement. Then the sky'd be the limit! Duarte will decide that... Yes, I have contacted him, and he's willing to give the project a look. With a little luck {crosses fingers} this watch might actually get built!
Thanks so much, Harold! Unless someone pulls a rabbit outta the hat, you got it!
- Hmm... Ok, then like this? (views: 6)
Harold Clitheroe -- Friday, 12 January 2007, at 4:57 a.m.
and if the arrow tip isn't feasible, then just paint theend of the second hand red.. I;'ll run up that version for you tomorrow..
FYI, EZA's are pretty nice, had a 14K one once..
Cheers

Toned down the bright-white color of the clan script, changed to a normal vs. bold font, and added caps
.
That's the closest yet to my vision.. so far.
-Ricky
- Ok.. some changes for ya.... (views: 2)
Harold Clitheroe -- Friday, 12 January 2007, at 6:05 p.m.
Hows this.. dropped the read arrow tip, changed it to a red painted end..
Removed the EZA crest, added the McBroom/MacBrayne clan arms (as far as I could tell from my books on heraldry)..So?
Cheers
Harold

Mouse cramp I tell ya! ARRRRRRRRRRRgh!
Took the scan of the actual physical blazon of arms, and pasted into your last pic;
I yam soooooo excited. Now to get these parts off to Duarte!
-Ricky
- Bingo! >>>>>>
Ricky Lee McBroom -- Saturday, 13 January 2007, at 2:50 p.m.
I like it!
} ..dropped the read arrow tip,
} changed it to a red painted end..I liked the arrow-tip seconds, but my gut feeling is that finding one which would fit the Eza movement would be an exercise in futility.
So the red-tipped OEM seconds hand is the best practical option, to me. The crest doesn't quite 'pop' as well with the hand fully red-painted, IMHO.
} Removed the EZA crest..
Err.. that was the McBroom crest, actually.
Well, an edited version of it, at any rate. I omitted the ducal coronet and dropped the dexter arm right down on top of the the shield...
} ..added the McBroom/MacBrayne clan
} arms (as far as I could tell from
} my books on heraldry)..Our books on heraldry differ. Mine's quite emphatic that the MacBrayne blazon of arms should have two lions passant guardant.
That said, I do love the fact that you were able to keep the ducal coronet in place! In fact, I could live with the single lion, simply to keep that feature.
Here's the official 'clan Ricky' version of the McBroom blazon of arms;
I'd love to put that entire exact crest on the dial, but fear that the scale would be so small you'd need a loupe to make it out. Which isn't a bad thing necessarily, I s'pose...
} So?
It rocks!
-Ricky

I gotta tell you, I'm gettin' excited about this project! Just hop the parts are compatible, so Duarte can bring it all together!
-Ricky
- You, Sir, are the PSP-meister! >>>>>
Ricky Lee McBroom -- Friday, 12 January 2007, at 11:16 a.m.
And you have superlative taste in watches!
} and if the arrow tip isn't feasible..
Unless I can find aftermarket hands what'll fit the Eza mvmt, 'tis not.
Hmm.. perhaps I should step back. Use an ETA or Miyota.. sumpin' there's a wide selection of hands for. I mean, I don't got to use the li'l Eza.. just seemed like a good idea at the time.
's sure nice to pick & choose the style of hands one likes best....
} then just paint the end of
} the second hand red..Yeah, always an option. I'd actually kinda like to lume the second hand, too...
} I'll run up that version for you tomorrow..
I can't tell you how much I appreciate this, Harold. Helping me get the image of the watch in my head on-screen, I mean. My PSP skills suck! ..well, not so much suck as.. see, I could maybe've come close to the edit you ended up with.. but it'd a took me 14 hours! I tend to go into CAD/CAM mode when image editing and it just don't work that way.. or at least not as quickly as the artistic mode that you use.
} FYI, EZA's are pretty nice,
} had a 14K one once..No foolin'? Whoa! Then you are the first brother WIS I've encountered who has! Never seen them on the fora, so I'm assuming they're pretty rare. Low volume. It does seem like one gosh-darned nice movement;
Does anyone know anything about these? German..?
Anyway.. what kinda straps you need, Bro?
I confess that your choices are a little more limited than you might have been led to believe by the "choice from a pool of about 2 dozen" statement.
Basically you got your brown leather and black leather.. Oh, and I do have one OK velcro strap w/ the brand. Also a black leather w/ deployant.
What say you?
