I found a wee packet in me mailbox today that felt (to my trained senses) like a pair of watches. WTH? I am confused I wasn't expecting any watches..? Crazy! Loco!

But then I saw the Naperville, IL return address, and understood that rascal MCV had sent an unannounced referral to Ricky Lee's Home For Wayward Wristwatches. Smile

The first poor watch is in need of a medic...

I've never replaced a tank crystal Blushing, so I'll take this as a personal challenge, Marc. Wink

But there's another new member of the family! Yeah, a little dirty Eek! around the edges..

WooHOO! It's a happy day, a new watch arrived A Citizen Ana-Digi Alarm Chrono, it's marked C240-N92678S on the dial, and C240-S75233 HSB on the caseback.

I've been feeling a little short in the department, so this will definitely help that problem.

Now, it's no secret that I'm no fan of integrated bracelets.. but his one ain't bad!

Perhaps that's because it actually fits me. WIS Honeymoon Rolling on the floor laughing my ass off

Just barely, and 'tis a smidgen tighter than I consider optimum, but it definitely is wearable.

Thanks Marc! I just may have to draw up adoption papers, 'cause I think this one might be a keeper.. Laughing

Cheers!

..the spare link for the Marc Vernon Citizen C240 which I ordered on the 21st. Great service from COSERV! Thumbs up!

The links are quite long on this bracelet (10mm) so, with the new link in place I had to tighten up one hole on the clasp's fine adjust. The clasp adjustment holes have a 4mm spacing so, in effect, I needed a half-link. It fits perfectly now! WIS Honeymoon

And since , 'ere's a lume shot:

Pretty stout on this one! Thumbs up!

Thanks again Marc!

Ordered a brand-new link for the Citizen Naperville fom coserv. They still got 'em, at $7 per. With shipping, $10.65 for a single link. Hey, I ain't complainin', I'm just glad they had one. Laughing

I also gave the ol' girl a further 3 cleanings today, things involving ultrasonics and mild chemicals. Jeez, Marc, that was maybe the nastiest waif I've ever taken in here at The Home. Eek! Rolling on the floor laughing my ass off

I'm pretty impressed with the menu interface on this one. Very intuitive.. I was using the heck out of the Alarm, Countdown, etc. today, and never once had to refer to the manual. Thumbs up!

Geez, at $7 per link I don't want to ask how much a whole bracelet would cost?
Dre -- November 21, 2009 03:28PM (Views: 24)
My incoming WOTM commemorative watch originally came on a bracelet but is coming my way sans one. Though for it's intended purpose a rubber strap will suit it much better anyway!

Your watch, however, wow did that clean up nice! Thumbs Up

But I can tell you. I am smiling Yeah, I asked, and the complete bracelet IS available..

They remind me of Honda, in that regard.

You might not be able to find tank badges and other cosmetic foofooraws for your Honda in stock.. but anything that you need to keep it running, from a set of ignition points to a complete crankshaft assembly? Honda will have it, all the way back to 1959. WIS Honeymoon
