Ah, we Dutch, just NEED to complain every now and then! It's a national thing, really! All in all, we're amongst the happiest people in the world, in spite of the high taxes...

Re: It's a national thing, really! A nation of complainers?
Not sure I'd admit that, even if it's true. |

Yes, but we are WIS, not French Fries Savants! (n/t) | James T. Kirk© | 21 | June 02, 2013 06:58AM |
Speak for yourself! No reason one can't be both a WIS and a FFIS.

French Fries ain't French.. They're Belgian in origin.. Mind you, poutine is the most noble form of french fries..
Oh - and steak frites isn't French, either.. Nor are baguettes, which are Austrian in origin.. |

Re: We just make everything better ! Although fries in holland are real good Having been born and raised in a French environment..(Quebec) I'm not
sure I agree, but then is Quebec really French? I know those in France
who would say "Non!"..

I once heard someone saying, a Frenchman can even make a roll of wallpaper make tasty! (n/t) | James T. Kirk© | 25 | June 02, 2013 11:41PM |
right... it's all in the sauce (n/t) | JP | 28 | June 03, 2013 06:28PM |
Correct, we as Dutch have known that for years... ...but a national newspaper did a large research in Flanders and The
Netherlands and it happened to be that the Dutch were the best fries
bakers from the 2. Even the worst from the test were found in Flanders.
For us Dutchmen flabbergasting as we always thought they had the best as
being the INVENTORS!

That's a nice review, written and presented well as I can feel your love for the ticker. It's an unusual and appealing watch of which I am fond. (n/t) | jackrobinson | 20 | June 01, 2013 09:52PM |
As usual, a very good , Ricky, certainly can't beat you with that! (n/t) | James T. Kirk© | 31 | June 01, 2013 11:46PM |

Great review, and great pics, too! That blue dial is like a cool mountain lake on a warm summer day.

Re: That blue dial is like a cool mountain lake on a warm summer day. That is without a doubt THE most poetic compliment I've ever been honored with on a watch forum.

Good review and pics mate, and it looks great on the bracelet, BUT...... 22mm lugs on such a chunky watch?! I still love the look of it though! :-)

Re: ..22mm lugs on such a chunky watch?! Well. I'll admit that this watch is pushing into territory where a 22mm strap does seem a bit skinny. Still, it works alright in my view.
I much prefer a 22 over a 24 (or up), if at all possible. The aftermarket options are so much more numerous!
Thanks mate!
