When does an homage become an outright > I'll tell ya>

I bought this a few years back, never really wore it, so I gave it to a friend. He called last week and told me, due to a minor knock, the logo fell off and a logo was under it. The "A" still remains intact. So, yes, rebadges watches, or at least this one. Well, in my effort to remove the logo floating around inside the watch, I've really messed it up. Every time I try to put the crown back in, something goes wrong, and it won't go in properly. I told my friend, if I can't fix it, I'll just find another for him, cause he really digs it. Oh well

Same here.
And, no, it really doesn't surprise me. What bothers me more than that there was an logo under the logo is the fact that the logo fell off in the first place! I only hope 'twas one hell of a knock!

Makes me wanna get out a nickel and scratch on the Omegomage dial!
Seriously, at least does take the trouble to rebadge 'em. I don't see the problem. Just means I get a better price on the watch! The 'amortization' has been done on the s, sure, but my conscience is clear. YMMV..
And, lest we forget, not all s are homages. At least no one's ever been able to cite 'the original' in this case..
..and I've posed the question several times...
And I do love that watch, BTW.
